INVESTIGATING

We observed a brief power disruption event at our YYC0 Calgary datacentre. Monitoring indicates a loss of utility feed redundancy, with feed A dropping first, followed by feed B. Both feeds were unavailable simultaneously for a short period before power was restored. All power systems have since recovered, and services are operating normally. We are investigating with local datacentre resources and will provide an updates as soon as we have more information.

Our internal routing and switching infrastructure has returned to normal operation. We are currently awaiting further updates from onsite personnel regarding the root cause of the power disruption.

Initial feedback from onsite technicians indicates the event coincided with a UPS battery replacement. While the work was performed one power side at a time, the behavior observed (loss of both feeds) was not expected. The onsite team is continuing to investigate, including reviewing the power delivery path to our PDUs. We will provide further updates as more information becomes available.

The facility has advised that an electrician will be onsite Monday to further review the power feeds to our PDUs. An RFO is also expected to be issued following their investigation. We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.
